Mountrath Community School has a tradition of competing in Leinster Schools since opening in 2009, annually competing in Minor (1st and 2nd year), Junior (u16) and Senior (u19) levels. We won our first Junior Leinster title in 2014.
We are fortunate to have a supply of talented and enthusiastic players from the surrounding clubs in Laois. Along with our tradition of having players on various county teams representing their club and school. Most notable in 2019, we had 5 players involved winning the All Ireland Minor B Championship.
Each time we take to the pitch, whether it is training or a match, we are forever remembering the legacy that Martin Moore instilled within MCS. His passion and enthusiasm for the game of Camogie is still present here today and always will be. He inspired both teachers and students to excel no matter their ability.
